Lam-Adesina: Election Not Concluded In Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency, Waiting For Supplementary Election

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in February 25, 2023 house of representatives election in Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Adedapo Lam-Adesina, has said that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has not concluded the election.

The youthful politician was reacting to news doing the rounds that his main challenger and incumbent, had been declared.

It was learnt that INEC had declared election in the federal constituency inconclusive.

According to Lam-Adesina, who represented the federal constituency between 2015 and 2019, said he and other candidates in the election were waiting on INEC to give a definite date for the supplementary election in the affected polling units.

Charging members of the APC as well as members of the federal constituency not to relent till victory is secured, he revealed that INEC has denied the fake news that it has announced anyone.

“I like to thank our people for the support. I want to promise that I won’t take your love for granted. I am grateful for the love you have showered on me. Don’t let’s relent till victory is assured. With your support, we are confident of victory. We don’t believe in anything than your votes and support.

“Just like you, we also heard the fake news that someone has been declared. What you and I know was that election was declared inconclusive in our federal constituency and INEC won’t do any other thing than the supplementary election in the affected units.

Whatever the intention of the sponsors of the fake news is only known to the wicked person behind it. It shows they don’t value your vote. They don’t believe in it, they want to take power by force. But we thank you for the support thus far. I don’t want to talk on some things because we know you are for us. And God is with us.

“So be rest assured that we are winning. We are not winning through the backdoor but through God and your support. The election of February 25, 2023 has shown that you want a change. It has shown that you have missed us. I won’t take this love for granted. We have a lot of programmes lined up for you. And being someone who has been there before, we will hit the ground running immediately we win.

We will contribute meaningfully to debates, motions and bills. The networks we have built, we will activate them for the good of the people of our federal constituency,” Lam-Adesina said.
